Alf was a previous junk yard dog that was taken in by a shelter in Indianapolis. He was underweight, his teeth were rotted, and he did not understand how to be a true dog without ever having the opportunity. He was in the shelter for almost a year before his parents found him. His dad claims he instantly knew he was perfect when he sprinted in like a goofball and decided to leap onto a recliner... which ended up spinning in circles as he held on for dear life! Alf was remembered as being a simple, sweet gentleman who only desired snacks and scratches. When he ran, his back half would get more air time than his front half, he bumped into things often due to poor vision, and he inspired everyone he met to give old dogs a second chance. In the almost 5 years he was in our home, Alf knew no strangers and proved that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!
